Broxtowe Borough Council

Broxtowe Borough Council is currently Conservative controlled. In May 2015, we took control over the Council, with 27 members being elected! Over the last few years, we've done some great things, including investing £500,000 in our parks and playgrounds, regenerating Beeston Town Centre and freezing council tax for all Broxtowe residents. It's fair to say, we've been busy!

The Council is made up of committees and working groups, each having their own remit. To find out more about each committee visit Broxtowe Borough Council's committee page. Check out who chairs each committee below.

Anna Soubry

Anna Soubry is the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Broxtowe. Anna took the seat from Labour at the 2010 General Election and quickly gained a reputation for hard work and plain speaking. As our MP, Anna always puts her constituents first, holding debates in Parliament on local issues. In 2012, Anna was made Minister for Public Health before moving onto to become the first female MP Defence Minister in the October 2013 reshuffle. Anna was promoted to Minister of State for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans in July 2014,

After the Referendum in June 2016 and the subsequent resignation of David Cameron, Anna decided to return to the back benches.
