Martin was re-elected as a member of the Executive Committee held on the 7th March 2020. He joined the Conservative Party in 1955 and has worked for the Party at every General and Local Election in 5 different constituencies before joining Broxtowe Conservative Association in 1997. Martin has served as an officer in various positions at Branch, Constituency and Area Level. When he lived in Derbyshire he was on the Council for 7 years. Martin's experience range from serving as a School Governor in both Primary, Junior and Secondary schools in both the Counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the City of Nottingham.
Martin is very much involved within the local community. Serving as Church Warden of St. Michael and All Angels Bramcote for over 20 years, and is also a local Charity Trustee.
Martin’s aim is to engage the Party with the local community both politically, socially and to promote active participation in politics within the Constituency to maintain, or secure Conservative values and representation at Westminster, County and Borough.
